Outreach in Our Community

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. John 13:34

Our Community.  The words say it all.  Since 1886, our church has been a part of the Senath community. Many things have changed during that time but our commitment to our community hasn't.  That is where you will find us today- living and working in our community to make it a better place.   We encourage all those who attend FBC to be active participants in our community, and many of our attendees are deeply engaged in programs that enhance the quality of life of their neighbors.

FBC has also been supportive of a number of community programs as a church body.

A few of our local programs:

  • Backpack for kids program in partnership with the elementary school.

  • We are an active supporter of our local ministerial alliance.

  • Each December we host a community-wide breakfast with Santa.

  • Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes with Samaritan's Purse.

  • Our church provides a "church box" for families during the loss of a loved one and many times feeds the family of anyone who requests it during a bereavement, regardless of membership.

We invite you to join us in serving our community and help make it a better place for everyone.
